The area around Standard Hill has no visual similarity with how it would have looked back inn 1642. but with imagination the hill marked by named road sign can fire up imagination.
(Nearby too a road quaintly named King Charles Street I was happy to discover tucked away.)
The castle is now shut for a major redevelopment inside a mention of the events that happened very close. Would be great if more was explored about this major event and its story.
