Glamis Castle - Scotland

The castle has a life-size lead statue of Charles I dressed in a suit of armour in the grounds.
Modelled by Arnold Quellin in 1686, and re-erected on an ashlar pedestal in 1890.

A visit close to my heart.
Had long admired images of the statue on google and so made the journey to go see it and have a photo with.

Was quite a moment!

Look forward to going back to Glamis and viewing the castle one day as time ran out on this day of visits
